Lacanau 5919m, Par 72 Description: Situated adjacent to our chosen hotel and near the
Atlantic Ocean, fairly flat but very wooded. A good, challenging layout
which is playable the year round because of the sandy subsoil.

Description: Contrasting courses - La Jalle lies in a flat
landscape, wooded and difficult rough. Les Etangs is a modern layout,
more undulating and has plenty of water (the name means
‘lakes’), but few trees.

Description: The striking Basque-style Clubhouse is worthy of a visit, in itself. One of
Fream’s best European courses. In the foothills of the Pyrenees, with lovely
views over the Basque countryside, golfers will appreciate the technical
difficulties posed by these 18 holes.Well-placed bunkers and demanding
greens. Undulating course.
Seignosse 6124m Par 72.
Description: Justifiably praised as one of France’s best courses, Seignosse is a ‘must’. The
landscape is magnificent and the course could not have been more well
designed to fit amongst the pine trees and cork oaks. Key features are steep
slopes and narrow fairways. A difficult course, not only for the hilly terrain,
but bunkers and water hazards will cost the best amateurs a few points!
Bassussary (Makila) 6176 m Par 72
Description: Set beneath the Pyrenees, this American style layout
offers a wide variety amongst its 18 holes. Rocky
Roquemore has designed the course around old oaks,
lakes and the undulating countryside, to make the
absolute most of the environment. Lovely scenery and
bird life and a table in the restaurant or on the terrace
affords excellent views.
Moliets 6172m, Par 73
Description: 13 holes in the Landes pine forest, and the
other 5 by the sea: an exceptional setting for
this R. Trent Jones course. The sandy soil
allows for good year-round conditions. An
excellent facility, adopted as the International
training centre for the French Golf Federation.
15 years old, but the trees date from up to
90 years ago! Long walks on parts of the course.
