Hotel  Le Manoir, Le Touquet***

43 rooms. On the golf course and under the same ownership as the golf clubs at Le Touquet and Hardelot. All rooms fully equipped, some in the  manor house, others [standard rooms] in the more modern extension behind  the house. Ideal, quiet location, especially for early-rising golfers!  Six of the bedrooms are in a single-storey annexe to the side of the hotel, but of the same good standard of accommodation.
Facilities: Restaurant,  cosy lounge bar, billiard room, outdoor pool and tennis courts, parking.

Our  view: This hotel is, justifiably, a long-established favourite of the travelling golfer, the clever ones book for next year, as soon as  they return. Also caters for seminars and has function rooms. Close to the town, but you need to take the car, or it'll be a long walk back in the dark!
