Hotel L'Univers, Arras ***

38 rooms. Stylish hotel, partly in a beautifully restored Jesuit monastery, offers the town centre location, but away from the main thoroughfare. Bedrooms are well-appointed and all a bit different.

Facilities: has a welcoming bar and lounge, as well as a beautifully presented gastronomic restaurant. Own courtyard and some parking.

Our view: If you can resist the restaurant, you are within easy walk of the heart of Arras, with its 2 squares. Offers good value, especially in the summer. 10 minutes from Arras golf club.
